First TransPennine Express

First TransPennine Express run trains across the Pennines on two routes – the first from Liverpool, Manchester and Manchester Airport to Huddersfield, Leeds, York, Darlington, Durham, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Scarborough and Hull, and the second from Manchester to Sheffield, Doncaster, Scunthorpe and Grimsby. MyTrainTicket shows all train times and train fares, whilst also allowing you to book train tickets for all Frist TransPennine Express routes.

Services and routes

First TransPennine Express also operates services from Blackpool, Barrow-in-Furness and Windermere to Preston, Bolton, Manchester and Manchester Airport; and from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Carlisle, Penrith, Oxenholme (for the Lake District), Lancaster, Preston, Bolton and Manchester. FirstTranspennine Express offers both Standard and First Class services.

Luggage and storage

First TransPennine Express trains have standard storage facilities for luggage in addition to a dedicated area for transporting up to two bicycles. Space can be reserved in advance by contacting the train operator directly.

Catering

Catering is available on core routes including Manchester Picadilly to York, Doncaster and Preston from 0700 – 1900 Monday to Friday, and on all Scottish services (Manchester Picadilly to Glasgow and Edinburgh) between 0700 – 1900.

First Class benefits

First Class accommodation is available, offering complimentary drinks and biscuit. First Class upgrades are available from the conductor at weekends and on bank holidays.
